The swell that hit the South Bay earlier in the month was now gone but we still had some fun waist to chest high surf in both Hermosa Beach and El Porto (Manhattan Beach).

Friday afternoon saw the tides swing in favor of the Breakwall. Locals and big name pro's showed up looking for bigger sets to roll through. Sunny Garcia and Nat Young were on hand for the swell.

Friday morning saw some heavy double and triple overhead waves attack the South Bay beaches. Most were unrideable but a few spots shined. Photogs lined the beach at Hammerland trying to capture the "big wave"shot of the winter.

The long awaited swell arrived in the South Bay on January 3rd. While it was not the biggest part of the swell, it did bring overhead surf to the breakwall and jetty.

December 27 and 28th brought some exciting, overhead surf to the South Bay. Fun barrels were had by many over the 2 day swell.

We got tired of waiting around for a swell so we went off and hunted one down. We took Matt Pagan, Chris Wells, Angelo Luhrsen, Justin Genest, Jalian Johnston, Conor Beatty, Noah Collins, Mike Pagan and Brad Jacobson on a trip to the morro bay area.

Small waves crept through El Porto Nad Hermosa Beach on December 15th and 16th offering up knee to waist high surf.

The South Bay lit up on November 25th with overhead barrels. The normal sleepy beach breaks came alive with this wind swell.
