Our April Issue Of Civic Couch's Online Magazine includes a late winter swell that hit the south bay, and early spring south swell that hit Orange County, surf shots from across the South Bay and more.

This video was shot at El Porto and Hermosa Beach over 2 days. Surfers include: Dayton Silva, Chris Brown, Chris Frohoff, Marcelo Malinco, Chris Wells and Jalian Johnston.

This issue of Civic Couch's online magazine covers a week of solid surf across the South Bay, including Manhattan Beach, Hermosa Beach, Redondo Beach and El Segundo.

The 5th annual bearback classic took place Sat. Feb. 4th in Hermosa Beach. Competitors included; Cheyne Magnusson, Justin Quirk, Greg Browning, Conor Beatty, Chio Baldocchi, Matt Walls, Scott Daley, Jimmy Young and others.

The swell that hit the South Bay earlier in the month was now gone but we still had some fun waist to chest high surf in both Hermosa Beach and El Porto (Manhattan Beach).

Friday afternoon saw the tides swing in favor of the Breakwall. Locals and big name pro's showed up looking for bigger sets to roll through. Sunny Garcia and Nat Young were on hand for the swell.

The long awaited swell arrived in the South Bay on January 3rd. While it was not the biggest part of the swell, it did bring overhead surf to the breakwall and jetty.
